- Runic Games openly speak out against the SOPA and PIPA acts
- Join an increasing list of game devs who are against the proposal
- "We can still make a difference"
Yesterday it was Riot Games, today it is Runic Games who is speaking out against the SOPA and PIPA acts.
The Torchlight developer has come out and listed several resources for use in opposing the legislation, and simply said "We can still make a difference".
It is clear that the scope of the proposed legislation would give unnecessarily broaden power to large corporations while reducing the rights of individual citizens -- and it won't even stop software piracy. We at Runic Games oppose the SOPA/PIPA legislation and we encourage you to do the same."
The SOPA and PIPA acts are in hot contention, with a number of gaming companies vocally standing against the act, while other big names such as Nintendo and Sony supporting the proposal.
