I watched them all in the last week. I love them all except number 2.

I would probably say Vengeance is my favourite, closely followed by the first and than the latest.

I didn't like the second cause it was too similar to the first. All the other sequels varied away from the firsts formula, but the second didn't.

Yeah that's probably the same order I'd put them in. Though I think most people prefer the first. I was in awe when I first saw number 4 but after a rewatch it dropped down the list.

The action in number 4 is awesome. I love how it is still Die Hard, but Die Hard in a modern world. That elevator shaft scene makes me wet every time I see it.

Didn't realize that a fifth film is in production. Looked up imdb.com and found the title is 'A Good Day To Die Hard'. To answer your Qs:
1. The first one
2. Die Hard, Die Hard 4.0, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Die Hard 2
3. Too many of the first one to list. In the third one, the subway crash. The car tunnel crash-em-up in the fourth one.
4. Alan Rickman in the first one by a mile.
