Bluray Players

I need a new bluray player cause my PS3 is on its last legs.

I was thinking off just buying one for $100-150 ones from JB Hi-Fi, as I don't need it to do anything special except play blurays.

What are you guys thoughts? Should I perhaps invest a little more or are the cheaper ones fine?

we are samsung faithfuls when it comes to home entertainment.

ive got a samsung HT-D6750W home theatre system and my parents just got a BD-D6900 blu-ray. they got that one cos of the wi-fi and smart TV functions which the TV doesnt have as its a few years old but still good.

like above i would go with a name brand sony or samsung due to load times and other things.

also make sure the unit can be made region free if you want/need that cos my one can but my parents one can not.

wifi can be used for system updates but they can always be downloaded and installed via USB.

That happens with my PS3 all the time, I think I could live with that :P

The one I am looking at says "fast loading" on the box. I must write down the brand and model and google it.

also look around online with the model number and then go to JB and see if they can do a deal thats close to it.

big brown box is pretty good cos you can choose the day you want them to deliver which is cool

I have 2 panasonic ones. One of them takes god damn all night too load but I think that was one of their earlier models. We also have a 3D one which is a lot quicker to load and has 2 HDMI outputs on it for amps that don't have 3D on them. 1 goes to the TV for the 3D and the other to the amp for the Audio. No matter what though Universal blurays always load slow
